How Are Deleted LINE Messages Shown? Chat History and Exports

This explains how messages appear when you or the other person deleted them, and the limits of the record. It does not cover ways to recover deleted content.

Not legal advice. This page is general information. Whether a court admits or relies on a chat is for the court; convokeep does not promise admission or any outcome. Ask a qualified lawyer about your case.

How does a deleted message look in the chat room?

In LINE, a notice that a message was unsent may appear where the message used to be. The exact display and conditions differ by version, and we could not open the official help in this check. Please confirm on your screen.

What remains in the export?

What is exported is the history displayed at the time of sending (LINE official help). To see how deletions appear, open the exported .txt. convokeep only turns what is in the file into a PDF and does not fill in what is not there.

Can a hash value show whether something was deleted?

No. A hash value only shows that the file has not changed since the export; it does not show deletions made before the export. See What a hash value tells you.

Can I recover vanished messages?

This article does not cover that. Talk to a lawyer if you need it. Getting into someone else's device or account without permission can be a legal problem.

What can I do now?

Export the history still on your screen as soon as possible and keep it as the original.

Ready to try it?

Drop your exported .txt file on the convokeep app for a free preview. The first 3 pages are free (watermarked, no integrity page); saving the full PDF is a one-time paid feature. No chat or attachment is uploaded: the file is read in your browser. To check later that a file is unchanged, use the hash checker.
