Using LINE Chat History as Evidence, Steps and FAQ
These are the questions people most often ask when they want to use a LINE chat in a dispute. The focus is on how to keep and organize the chat, and only general information is given.

Can LINE chat history be used as evidence?
Submitting a chat as material is widely done. Whether it is admitted and how reliable its content is are decided by the court, case by case. convokeep does not promise admission.
What should I keep first?
Leave the chat room as it is before you delete anything. Then send and save the chat history as "text". LINE's official help describes choosing "Settings" → "Export chat history" from the menu on the chat screen (checked 2026-10-29). For details, see how to export.
What should I watch out for when exporting?
According to LINE's official help, only the history shown in the chat room you currently have open is saved. History saved as text cannot be used to restore a chat. If you want to restore chats, for example when changing phones, you need the regular backup feature separately.
How should I handle the saved file?
Do not open and re-save it; keep it as it is somewhere else. It is safer to use a copy for organizing or printing.
What does turning it into a PDF do?
A PDF with the date, time and sender on each message lets you read the flow from start to finish. Record also adds an integrity page with the SHA-256 of the source file and the transcript data. A later copy whose SHA-256 hash matches the recorded hash has not changed since that hash was recorded. This does not show that the original chat is authentic or complete, and it cannot show whether messages were deleted before the export.
Privacy
Reading the file, building the PDF and calculating hashes all happen in your browser. No chat or attachment is uploaded and there is no account. See the privacy policy and the disclaimer.

Ready to try it?
Drop your exported .txt file on the convokeep app for a free preview. The first 3 pages are free (watermarked, no integrity page); saving the full PDF is a one-time paid feature. No chat or attachment is uploaded: the file is read in your browser. To check later that a file is unchanged, use the hash checker.
