Investment Scam Chats, Keeping Open Chat and KakaoTalk Records
If you were pitched an investment, sent money and then ran into trouble, the chat rooms holding the pitch and the transfer instructions matter. This page only covers organizing the chats and makes no investment or legal judgments.
Not legal advice. This page is general information. Whether a court admits or relies on a chat is for the court; convokeep does not promise admission or any outcome. Ask a qualified lawyer about your case. In Korea, for example, you can also ask the Korea Legal Aid Corporation (☎132).
Which chats should I keep?
Keep the first pitch, the parts that mention profits or principal, the part giving the account to send money to, and the other side's later replies or the chat just before contact was cut off. Check both open-chat rooms and one-to-one chat rooms.
What if I get kicked out of the room or the account disappears?
If you leave a chat room, its contents may no longer be visible. Make a file with an export as soon as you can. What you can export from an open chat must be checked on the app screen.
How should I organize it?
Build the exported file into a date-ordered PDF and choose the date range so the chat around the transfer date reads as one flow. Keep transfer records and account details separately as material outside the chat.
Where do I report it or get advice?
Get guidance from the Korean National Police Agency cybercrime reporting system or a lawyer. This page does not explain the procedure.
Can I get my money back?
This page promises no outcome whatsoever. Organizing the chat only makes the facts easier to read.
Privacy
Reading the file, building the PDF and calculating hashes all happen in your browser. No chat or attachment is uploaded and there is no account. See the privacy policy and the disclaimer.

Ready to try it?
Drop your exported .txt file on the convokeep app for a free preview. The first 3 pages are free (watermarked, no integrity page); saving the full PDF is a one-time paid feature. No chat or attachment is uploaded: the file is read in your browser. To check later that a file is unchanged, use the hash checker.
